Turku Judo Week 2010

Turun Judoseura järjestää perinteikkään judoleirin tänä vuonna uudella konseptilla. Yksi uudistuksista on leirin jako BJJudo week- ja Kata week -leireihin.

BJJudo week

Leiri järjestetään yhteistyössä Turun Ju-jutsuseuran (Alliance BJJ) kanssa. Judon valmennuksesta vastaavat Pernilla ja Marcello Ribero Novais Poliisien judoseurasta Tukholmasta (SPIF-Judo). BJJ -valmentajana toimii brasilialainen Alex Monsalve.

Pernillalla (4. dan), on meriittilistallaan mm. EM 2 ja MM 5 sekä Marcellolla (5. dan) useita Ruotsin mestaruuksia. Poliisien judoseuralla on tältä vuodelta tuore miesten Euroopan mestaruus (Markus Nyman -90 kg) sekä viime vuodelta nuorten MM ja EM-mitaleita sekä miesten että naisten puolelta (lisätietoja: www.spifjudo.se).

Pariskunnan valmennustyyli on innostava -harjoitukset ovat tehokkaita ja hauskoja. Marcello toimii SPIF-judon puheenjohtajana. Judon lisäksi Pernilla on tunnettu toimintaleffojen stunt-näyttelijänä.

Leiripaikkana on Turun Ju-jutsuseuran sali osoitteessa Virusmäentie 65 N, toinen kerros.

Kata week

Kata week järjestetään 14.-17.7.2010, leirin hinta on 60 €.

Leirillä luvassa Nage-No, Katame-No ja Kime-No -kataa moninkertaisen suomenmestarin Pasi Oinaksen (2. dan) opastuksella. Sekä kilpailukatasta kiinnostuneille että vyökokeisiin valmistautujille.

Leiripaikkana on Turun judoseuran sali osoitteessa Virusmäentie 65, kolmas kerros. Leiripaikka on noin 200m BJJWeek -leiripaikasta.

Historia

Turku Judo Week on Suomen vanhin judon kesäleiri. Se on järjestetty ensimmäistä kertaa 1967, jolloin japanilainen Ichiro Abe oli Turussa opettamassa Judoa. Vuodesta 1972 Judoviikko on järjestetty vuosittain. Valmentajat ovat joka vuosi judon eliittiä.

Turku Judo Week on perinteikäs judon kesäleiri, jonne tulee osaanottajia ympäri Eurooppaa. Ihmiset tulevat leirille oppimaan uutta sekä vaihtamaan näkemyksiään ja kokemuksiaan.
Turku Judo Week on myös judoliiton edustusvalmennusleiri.

THE OLDEST INTERNATIONAL JUDO TRAINING CAMP IN FINLAND

Welcome to Finland City of Turku. Every summer TURKU JUDO WEEK, Finland’s oldest international judo training camp is held here in July – just in the middle of the best Finnish summer season.

People from all over the world come here to practice and learn judo together under supervising of the most experienced and internationally respected judo coaches and teachers.

People of all ages and different backgrounds can forget for a while everything else when they put their judogi on and step on to the tatami for doing judo together for five days.

Turku is the old capital of Finland and it is an interesting combination of historical areas and modern high tech society with clean and nice environment.
Turku was born along the river Aura, which is one of the best attractions in the City. All the main places like the Castle of Turku, the Cathedral, Maritime Museum or the restaurant boats are located by the river.
The riverbanks gather people there to dine and wine, listen to music and have a good time. In winter, the river will get an ice coating turning it to a busy winter promenade.

Turku has good traffic connections for visitors: international airport, harbour,
two railway stations and good local transport with busses. All of these
are located inside 20 minutes by car from the training place.

There are several high class hotels as well as more economical places of accommodation located nearby, and they can be reached by walking..

TURKU JUDO WEEK is a judo training camp for everyone. There are carefully planned practices available for adults and juniors.
The national team of Finland attends to the training camp every year.
You can visit TURKU JUDO WEEK regardless you have just learned the basics of judo or you are the most experienced player. Judo teaching is planned to serve different skill levels and practice can be done according to one’s own level.

National teams have practice sessions in the morning and again in the evening. Those who are seriously focused to develop oneself can have international randori practice twice a day.

It is also possible to take a part twice a day to the technical practice, where skilled judo teachers can give some good advice among the uchi-komi.

Every year some 200…300 people attend to TURKU JUDO WEEK to practice and have good time together.

You are welcome to visit Finland and TURKU JUDO WEEK every year in the mid July.
